Dj Anto Hill

Anto Hill founded the Vinyl Sound Systems in July 2010. Since then he has organized gigs almost every month and kept the Old Skool Scene ticking over more then any other promotor. People often ask how he manages to stay awake & keep partying as much as he does.

Anto has a simple answer to that and in his opinion there’s a simple ans to that, ♫♫\Music/.♫.♫ is his one and only drug. Anto has been dj now for nearly 20 years. He has played with over 300 dj’s throughout these years. There are to many to mention but some of the Djs he has played with are the best in the business!

The highlight for Anto was in July 2010 when “Vinyl Sound System’s” Started. Like most promotors it was rocky to start with. But the last year has been super and seeing the Vinyl Sound Systems gather a great group of regular follower’s that the gig’s would be nothing without.

Anto never thought he could take VSS this far but where other promotors had giving up Anto knew he had something that people wanted and his perseverance has paid off and the VSS have gone from strength to strength and got better and better.

On behalf of VSS Anto would like to say Thanks’ for all the support, Here’s to many more year’s, What can i say,,, (There’s no School) Like the “OLDSKOOL”,,

DJ James Wall

James start Djaying for Vinyl Sound Systems in 2011.

Dj Mark Greene

Mark Greene start Djaying in 1992 when he got infected from the Chicago and Detroit house sounds that start hitting the underground Dublin Clubs.  Mark had many influences but the Strictly Rhythm label pretty much sums up the sounds he was chasing back then. Towards the end of 90s Mark put his music on the back burner mainly due to other commitments and with a belief that house music had seeing it’s best days.

Late in 2008 Mark accidently stumbled across a set of CDjs which he’d never used before, he bought some old tracks had a spin and got hooked all over again. After this long break away from clubbing and djaying Mark was put onto the Vinyl Sound Systems at the end of 2010 and since then he has played at many different venues and for many different promotors, but mainly for Vinyl Sound Systems. It’s hard to pin Mark down to one style these days but more recently he has diverted back to vinyl and is collecting and playing mostly deep house.

Mark’s main influences are Todd Terry, MK, Masters at Work, Cajmere, Sneak, DJ Pierre, Leftfield, Jimpster, Slam, Osunlade, Kerri Chandler. On Mark’s weekly show expect to hear the likes of Session Victim, Jay Shepard, Audiojack, Vincenzo, Maceo Plex, Soul Clap and many more.

You can catch Mark every Tuesday from 10 to 11 for his show on Dublins 93.2fm or www.playdublin.net
